Selected songs from Rabindranath Tagore’s geetikabya originally compiled in three volumes of the Gitabitan are rendered here by the translator into English.
The volume is bilingual as there are readers/listeners who are conversant with colloquial Bengali but may miss the poet’s nuanced use of language or even specific words. The translations try to retain, as far as feasible, the music and rhythm of the original verse.
